Support for nVidia's RTX in Local Rendering - Autodesk Community

Jul 6, 2020 · Geez, Speedy Gonzales, The RTX Series is overall solid (I use an RTX 2070) and the spec looks brilliant - far better than some of the specs I've seen today on the Inventor forum 🙂 If you need to save a buck or two you could go to an RTX 2070 TI unless you have massive assemblies but it depends if you need the GPU for anything else.

I know Autodesk has already incorporated it in Arnold Beta, but I'm unsure how Fusion 360 rendering engine relates to Arnold if at all. I'm asking this because I requested a new machine at work with a Core i7 and a Geforce RTX (I also use Adobe CC on it, like Adobe Dimension which I know already has Adobe's commitment in supporting RTX).
Help Choosing a GPU for Fusion 360 (GPU Budget $300)
Jun 25, 2020 · Fusion 360 is not GPU Accelerated so buying a Quadro or Firepro is a waste of money in most cases. However, Fusion 360 does need VRAM which means you can't entirely ignore the GPU. 6GB of VRAM should be plenty for Fusion, I have an RTX 2070 8GB and I get nowhere near 6GB on Fusion. Obviously you can reach that with enough occurrences.

RTX 3080 12GB; 64GB RAM; and with my C drive, additional installs drive, and my primary documents drive all being M.2 SSDs; Window 11; With this new computer it deals with high intensity things really well (editing 8k footage, playing games on full end specs etc). However, in Fusion 360, I get some seriously horrible lag.
