I maintain the Diagrams.net package for Sandstorm.io, if you want a Google Drive-esque self-hosted platform which stores the diagrams and everything in the same interface, though it's a fairly heavy platform if you intend to only run a single app with it.

I prefer Trilium because I want a self-hosted server-based core that I can access via web UI. I don't want to have to manage local clients and I don't want to have to set up sync manually. Trilum comes with a neat docker package that "just works" and fits perfectly within my self-hosted setup. Which is why I prefer it over Obsidian.

Feb 29, 2020 · Starting with the physical part is the easiest way to begin. After that draw the virtual and containerized part. Don't try to get everything in the drawing. Having too much information scattered everywhere is confusing and difficult to understand. Instead have a square on the side with the relevant information about your server in it.

Aug 20, 2017 · Not necessarily but depends I guess. I personally wouldn't self host or see the point of it if the page is calling something like Google or cdn urls. Also draw.io has a page footer which shows its branding, if you look into the code they've added analytics. If you try to remove the footer then the site won't load. That's what I found anyway.

For example, if you live in Cali , you might want to use America/Los_Angeles. If running Docker host on Linux, you can run the timedatectl list-timezones command to see the available (ALL) options.
