Michigan will be without Colston Loveland and Will Johnson, two of its best players, today against Ohio State.

The good news for Michigan is that it’s played without Johnson for weeks now, leaning on cornerbacks Jyaire Hill, Aamir Hall (a transfer from FCS Albany) and Zeke Berry, a converted nickel. Look for all three to get significant playing time against Ohio State, and safety Makari Paige moving into the slot-corner role.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan coach Sherrone Moore wants to hear from the doctors, but apparently, they’ve already spoken. Cornerback Will Johnson has missed the last four games with a toe injury, and Moore said Monday that Michigan will know later this week whether Johnson can play Saturday against Ohio State.
