Moanapocalypse has begun at the Thanksgiving box office, where the animated sequel is set to serve up the biggest opening of all time for the holiday (sorry, 'Frozen').

Moana 2 is off to a splashy start with $66.3M globally through Wednesday, including strong early debuts and milestones at the international box office

Moana 2 is currently on track to become the most profitable holiday opening, beating both Frozen and Frozen II, whose five-day earnings were $94 million (£74 million) and $125 million (£98 million), respectively.
