There hasn’t been a surplus of reasons to cheer for the Pittsburgh Penguins this season. But a four-game winning streak can certainly provide some level of optimism. Especially when that fourth victory comes against the defending Stanley Cup champions.

One streak will end, while another will continue. Both entering the matchup riding a three-game winning streak, the Florida Panthers (15-9-1) will face-off against the Pittsburgh Penguins (10-12-4) at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday at 7 p.

The Penguins had let a three-goal third-period lead evaporate when Florida’s Sam Bennett, Adam Boqvist and Matthew Tkachuk scored within a 4:32 span to pull the Panthers even.
