The Dayton Metro Library is holding events in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. At the West Branch, they will be doing stories and crafts about “peace, diversity, inclusion and equality,” the library says. This will take place from 4-5 p.m. on Jan. 15 and is available for first through fourth grade.

Raleigh police arrested a man Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 71-year-old pedestrian on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The artwork will be for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Black History Month exhibits in the university Van Pelt and Opie Library. Both exhibits will be arranged in the library’s east reading room.
