The Chicago Cubs made perhaps the biggest move of the offseason when they traded for Kyle Tucker, shipping out a hefty package to land one of the best outfielders in the league who was expected to come in and transform this team.

The All-Star right fielder discussed the fractured finger he played through earlier in the summer, unsure if it was to blame for a nasty slump that has lasted more than a month.

Tucker’s prolonged slump is at least a little less inexplicable now after what the Cubs revealed on Wednesday. It turns out, Tucker fractured his hand on June 1 and has been attempting to play through it.
