The incoming president has tapped five attorneys who have been on his legal team to serve in government roles.

Bondi first met with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the next chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee — the panel responsible for vetting her nomination. She later met with the committee’s current ranking member, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

Florida’s first female state attorney general, she became a member of Donald Trump’s impeachment defense team and backed his false claims of election fraud in 2020.
