The 3,722 flash flood warnings that occurred between Jan. 1 and July 30 are a record high for the time period going back to 1986.

At 4:37 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning in effect until 7:45 p.m. for Baker and Malheur counties.

NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. — A Flash Flood Warning issued early Sunday morning for three counties east of Atlanta has been canceled. A Flood Watch remains in place for much of the rest of the region through Monday evening.
