Striking union members lined a Bucks County street in the early afternoon urging motorists to sound their horns all part of a one-day strike to force their county bosses to take notice.

The union voted in July to reject the county's "Last, Best and Final Offer" with a vote of 99.6 percent against ratification.

More than 300 Bucks County workers went on strike Friday over a proposed contract that the union said would cut health benefits by almost 19% for 500 county employees. More than 200 workers, who are members of SEIU Local 668,

Hundreds of government workers in Bucks County are going on strike Friday, including those working at the county's 911 center, Children and Youth Services and parts of its IT team.
