After the official closure of all Joann Fabrics stores on May 31, many locally owned craft shops in the Milwaukee area have noticed increased sales.

NEW YORK -- Craft labels from the now-shuttered fabrics seller Joann are making their way to a new home: Michaels.

Pensacola’s Joann Fabrics and Crafts store at 6601 N. Davis Highway inside the Tradewinds Shopping Center permanently shut down on May 28, joining hundreds of Joann’s locations nationwide.
