The weather on Tuesday will make it much tougher for the crews continuing to battle the Jennings Creek Wildfire, which is eating up 3,500 acres of wooded land in the northern part of Passaic County that abuts the New York State border. "An increased risk of fire spread will develop on Tuesday," warned the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

A quarter of an inch of rain fell on the Jennings Creek fire early Monday morning, which helped crews get some much needed rest. The fire remains at about 3,000 acres and is 10% contained, officials said.
