TAMPA — Despite having their goaltender shoot the puck into his own net and needing to erase a late deficit against a postseason regular, the Washington Capitals outlasted the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night, posting a wild 5-4 victory at Amalie Arena to sweep their two-game Florida road trip.

It was a bit of a rough start to action in Tampa for the Capitals, who found themselves outshot and being dominated by the Lightning's top talent early.
