Tottenham made a winning start to their Premier League campaign with a one-sided victory over newly-promoted Burnley. The north Londoners had Richarlison to thank with the Brazilian scoring two fine goals to get them up and running. Brennan Johnson added a third in the second half to make sure of the points and wrap up a routine victory.

Previous Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou never came right out and said it, but it felt like he never fully believed he could rely on Richarlison to be the focal point of his attack.
