With 23 starts at right guard for Notre Dame over the past two seasons, Rocco Spindler entered the portal as a fourth-year graduate transfer on Jan. 23.

Rocco Spindler will continue his college football career 600 miles west of South Bend. The former Notre Dame football offensive lineman has committed to Nebraska. The 6-foot-5, 325-pound Spindler entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Jan.

Freeman is regarded as one of the best young coaches in the game, and the culture that he has created in South Bend since taking over for Brian Kelly at Notre Dame is second to none. Because of that, these transfers from starters raise eyebrows, to say the least.
