Three lottery players scored huge prizes during a lucky weekend in North Carolina. Each of the players is set to get richer after buying a lottery ticket worth more than $100,000, the N.C. Education Lottery wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. Here’s where the lucky tickets came from:

Melanie Melendez played a $5 ticket on Nov. 16 and won the top level “Epic Jackpot” in the Wheel of Bonuses game

That meant Linda Wilkes’ $50,000 prize was instantly multiplied by 10. The Wilkes County resident ended up with $500,000 when her $3 ticket matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball of the Nov. 4 drawing, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.

A man in North Carolina plans to give his daughter the gift of graduating college debt-free for Christmas after he accidentally won more than $175,000 playing the lottery.
