At least six people were wounded on Sunday in a series of attacks from Lebanon on northern Israel, as Lebanese and Syrian media outlets reported at least 29 people dead in two separate strikes attributed to Israel and the incoming defense minister said the military had defeated Hezbollah on the battlefield.

Israel Defense Forces carried out air strikes in Gaza and Lebanon that killed dozens while targeting Hamas and Hezbollah militants Saturday morning.

Qatar will stop trying to mediate a Gaza ceasefire deal until Hamas and Israel "demonstrate a sincere willingness to return to the negotiating table", an official briefed on the matter told Reuters on Saturday.
