The family of three children shot on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 27, says one child has died and two others are in the hospital after multiple gunshots were fired on a car.

Three children were rushed to a pediatric hospital after the shooting, two were reported as critically injured and one was seriously injured. One of those three has since died, officials confirmed.

Several people were injured in a shooting at a barber shop on Swan Avenue in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses reported that the incident occurred around 2 p.m. in the 1000 block of Swan Avenue.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Three children are in the hospital after multiple gunshots were fired on a car Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 27. Several Baton Rouge Police Department units and ambulances responded to the shooting that happened around 2 p.m. in the 1000 block of Swan Avenue, which is off Scenic Highway.

Two children were critically injured and one was seriously injured following the shooting. All three were rushed to a pediatric hospital.

A spokesperson for Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services said first responders transported two people in serious condition. A third patient was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
