NCIS legend Mark Harmon is officially returning to the small screen in CBS's highly-anticipated spin-off, NCIS: Origins. Fans will be treated to a surprise appearance from Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the very first episode.

There have been a lot of questions about whether Mark Harmon would ever return to NCIS. Well, we finally have a positive answer to the question. Harmon played Gibbs in the flagship series from the beginning.

As already mentioned, we’ve known that Harmon’s voice will be present throughout NCIS: Origins since the older Gibbs will be recounting his early time working for the title law enforcement agency, known back then as NIS.
