Crosses “Ethiopia at the Crossroads” is full of, well, crosses. There are large crosses hoisted on poles during religious processions and handheld crosses displayed in homes.
That portion of the cross is kept in a monastery in Ethiopia. The day is observed as the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in other churches, including Orthodox, Catholic and some Protestant.
