Shane Wright scored on the power play and Kaapo Kakko added a pair of assists for the Seattle Kraken, but they couldn't dig out of a three-goal deficit in a 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.
Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson had a big effort in net, stopping 33-of-36 shots and outdueling Kraken goalie Joey Daccord, who had 15 saves on 19 shots. The Wild return to action Friday night when they visit the Vancouver Canucks for a 9 p.m. puck drop.
Eeli Tolvanen had two goals, including the go-ahead score with 6:52 to go in the second period, and Vince Dunn had two assists to give him 200 for his career in the Seattle Kraken’s 6-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.
Notable: Matty Beniers and Eeli Tolvanen (two goals) stopped the trend of barely hanging with Vancouver on the scoreboard. Those two forwards scored exactly a minute apart midway through the second period, then defenseman Brandon Montour added an exclamation point on Saturday night. Joey Daccord made 28 saves.
