Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar attended the inaugural event of 'Uttar Pradesh Divas' in Lucknow on Friday, marking Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day. The event was also graced by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised Uttar Pradesh's transformation during its 76th foundation day celebrations. He highlighted its significant role in India's growth under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership.

In 2011, Chief Minister Mayawati proposed splitting Uttar Pradesh into four states: Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Awadh Pradesh, and Paschim Pradesh. But Uttar Pradesh has remained unified, largely due to the vision of its first chief minister, GP Pant, to keep the Hindi heartland intact.
