On Thursday, the IDF Spokesman announced that a Hezbollah reconnaissance drone launched toward Israel had been intercepted.

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that Israel Air Force (IAF) fighter jets attacked during the night targets of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Bekaa region of Lebanon that the IDF said posed a threat to the Israeli home front and its forces.

Earlier that month, Israel intensified air campaigns against Hezbollah in Lebanon, in response to escalating rocket attacks by the Iran-backed armed group which had killed civilians, and displaced tens of thousands more from homes in northern Israel.

The exchange is set to begin at 3 a.m. EST, according to sources. The names of the three hostages set to be released Thursday have been identified, according to the Hostage Center. American Keith Seigal is not on the list for Thursday's release.

Naim Qassem insisted Hezbollah had emerged from the fight with Israel victorious, despite painful and unprecedented setbacks, and was unwilling to concede the group’s domestic position. Qassem also expressed Hezbollah’s satisfaction with Lebanon’s post-war political direction and said his group had a productive and positive relationship with Lebanon’s new president and prime minister-designate.

Lebanon ceasefire, dozens of officers in the Lebanese army leaked sensitive information on IDF movements to Hezbollah, in a way that allowed Hezbollah to move weapons.

If the Lebanese army deploys faster to the rest of southern Lebanon, the IDF might feel compelled to complete its withdrawal faster as well.
