Starters for the 2025 NBA All-Star game were announced on Thursday night and the Denver Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokić was named as a frontcourt starter for the Western Conference. Jokić will join Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers in the West frontcourt while Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder will man the backcourt for the West.

Kevin Durant has had a brilliant offensive season while James’s teammate, Anthony Davis, has been a focal point of the Lakers’ offense this season and remains one of the NBA’s top defenders. But James gets my vote (at least) one more time.

LaMelo Ball and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander remain the leaders at guard in the East & West, with Antetokounmpo and Jokić as the top overall voting leaders.

James now has 2,591,287 fan votes to Durant’s 2,498,843. The two all-time greats are second and third to three-time NBA MVP, Denver Nuggets big Nikola Jokic, who has 2,924,436 fan votes.
