Meteorologists have the highest confidence of snowfall in middle and west Georgia compared to other areas in the state Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, which means Macon is likely to see snow.
An arctic airmass has set up over the eastern U.S. which will have temperatures in Central Georgia well below average for the upcoming week. With highs near freezing and lows in the low twenties and upper teens, temperatures will be conducive for winter weather.

According to The Weather Channel forecasts for next week, Macon could get some snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. The forecast for Tuesday says lows will be around the low to mid 20s, and highs will only reach around 35 degrees. There is a 46% chance of snow, according to the forecast, which says between 1 and 3 inches of snow is expected.
