The massive helium balloons that will float through New York City for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade have been filled with helium ahead of the big event.

The balloon of Bluey, the beloved children’s cartoon character, popped during inflation the day before the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The best views of the parade come from above. Several hotels sit along the parade route, including the Mandarin Oriental at Columbus Circle and New York Hilton Midtown on Sixth Ave. However, many hotel rooms with parade views are booked months in advance, and are often expensive.
