In Southern California, two counties are sending crews to Orange County after eight firefighters there were injured in a crash. They will help in the battle against the devastating Airport Fire, which is now more than 50% contained after days of progress.

Officials provided an update Friday on the eight firefighters injured during a rollover crash on an Orange County freeway Thursday night. “We’ve got a tough road ahead,” Orange County Fire Authority Chief Brian Fennessy said during a morning news conference.

The firefighters had been battling the massive Airport Fire​ before eight were seriously injured in a rollover crash on a freeway in Orange County, officials said. Michele Gile reports.
