An Akron, Ohio family is demanding answers after a police officer shot and killed a 15-year-old boy last week.

Gary and Kathy Green remain devastated several days after their 15-year-old grandson, Jazmir Tucker, was shot and killed by an Akron police officer.

A 15-year-old boy, whom authorities said was carrying a loaded firearm when he was fatally shot by police officers late Thursday, was a ninth-grader at North High School, according to Akron Public Schools.

A 15-year-old Ohio boy has been identified as the armed individual who was killed in a shooting by police on Thanksgiving night.

Officers were called to the area for an unrelated report but while they were there, officers heard gunshots and left their vehicle to investigate.

A 14-year-old is injured after a shooting in Akron on Saturday, police said. Family and friends are mourning Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson and Krysta Tsukahara, all college students who graduated from Piedmont High School in 2023.
