Joe Lynskey is one of four people 'disappeared' during The Troubles in Northern Ireland whose remains have yet to be located. The ICLVR has exhumed a grave at Annyalla Cemetery in Co Monaghan on the foot of "information concerning suspicious historic activity during the 1970s" there.

Investigators searching for Joe Lynskey, one of the IRA’s so-called disappeared, have exhumed a grave in County Monaghan.

The Independent Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains (ICLVR) lead investigator Jon Hill speaks at Annyalla cemetery in Co Monaghan as an exhumation is underway of a grave in the search for Disappeared victim Joe Lynskey.

INVESTIGATORS ARE EXAMINING if remains found in a grave in County Monaghan are those of Joe Lynskey one of the disappeared murdered by the IRA during The Troubles. Lynskey was a former Cistercian monk from the Beechmount area of west Belfast.
