The case of Hannah Kobayashi, a 30-year-old Hawaii woman who the Los Angeles Police Department believes “voluntarily” disappeared in early November, has generated much national attention as her family and supporters try to figure out exactly what happened to her.

Yet another eerie twist has emerged in the search for Hannah Kobayashi, the 31-year-old who disappeared after missing a connecting flight at LAX earlier this month. Kobayashi’s aunt, Larie Pidgeon, revealed Tuesday night that cops are investigating a pair of strange Venmo payments she made on Nov.

Hannah's sister, Sydni Kobayashi, said that the payments were made to individuals whose names were unfamiliar to the family.
