Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has expressed deep concern over the arrest of ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in Bangladesh, calling the incident “extremely worrying.” She urged the central government to take up the matter and ensure the safety of minorities in the neighboring country.

BJP leaders, spearheaded by Suvendu Adhikari, protested outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Kolkata over the arrest of ISKCON priest Chinmoy Krishna Das. They demanded his release, alleging religious persecution in Bangladesh.

ISKCON Bangladesh has strongly condemned the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a prominent Hindu leader, and spokesperson for the "Bangladesh Sammilito Sanatani Jagaran Jot" and also issued a list of demands to the Muhammad Yunus-led government for subsequent violence and attacks against Sanatanis in various regions of Bangladesh.
