Brian Rust of McFarland, Wisconsin, was diagnosed with an intension tremor and slated for surgery in November 2022. What doctors didn't expect was for Rust to bring in his beloved trombone.

The doctors agreed, and Rust serenaded the surgeon with his brass trombone. "I got the impression that all of the staff were watching me, because that was pretty unusual for them," he said.
