Tear severity was associated with MRI sensitivity, according to results, with an MRI sensitivity of 100% among complete tears, 82% among superior two-thirds and 67% among superior one-third.

If a release of the anterior portion of the supraspinatus or the superior portion of the subscapularis is necessary, these are repaired using #2 FiberWire suture (Arthrex) in a transosseous fashion.
