Click "Insert" from Excel's ribbon. Click "Pie" from the "Charts" group to open a new pane of options. Click the first option in the "2D pie" section.

In Microsoft Excel, you can create a Half Pie Chart if your data range has a total. A Half Pie Chart is a 180 degrees graph that represents a composition as a whole.

Excel provides 10 different chart types, such as bar, pie, column, area, etc. Select the Insert tab, then choose the Recommended Charts icon in the Charts group on the Ribbon bar.

Arrow charts and slope charts are alternatives to multiple pie charts when the data consist of the values or the percentage breakdown of several categories for two time periods.

There were 29 entries to the first part of the contest which consisted of presenting alternatives to a pie/donut chart and 28 entries to the second part of the contest which was visualizing a table.
