It turns out, I’ve been recycling all wrong. After the latest round of testing nine paper shredders, I thought I’d put the resulting 65-plus gallons of shredded paper out for recycling.

You can also test it by trying to rip it. If it rips easily like printer paper, it's recyclable. If it won't tear and/or you notice a plastic-like layer, it needs to go in the trash.
