The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), which is the VA branch that cares for ailing vets, spent more than half its funding between 2004 and 2009 on post-9/11 troops with PTSD and/or TBI.
This is the Warrior Canine Connection, a Maryland-based nonprofit which uses the pups as therapy for troops to overcome PTSD and TBI by teaching them to train and foster the dogs.
