BELLEVUE, Neb. (Nebraska Examiner) - The Air Force confirmed Tuesday that a new 95th Wing will be headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base.

Offutt Air Force Base is building back from the devastating floods of 2019. They opened a new security forces squadron campus Monday. It is one of eight new campuses at the base.

Air shows used to be a regular event at Offutt Air Force Base. But back in 2019 a string of events, or what some Offutt officials call the “trifecta of terrible,” prompted a six-year hiatus.

Offutt Air Force Base is celebrating a major milestone in recovering from the 2019 flood. Friday, they had a ribbon cutting ceremony for a building, right in the flood recovery zone on the base.
