The head of the union representing NFL officials calls allegations that officiating crews are biased in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs or any other team “insulting and preposterous.”

The statement comes a day after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell called the Chiefs conspiracy theories “ridiculous.” NFLRA executive director Scott Green agreed with Goodell in the statement posted to X by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, and tried to illustrate how difficult something like that would be to pull off.

At the very least it's a step forward in trying to get the calls right on the field. Although, as with any highly-scrutinized competition, there's bound to be problems with any new solution and fans will be on the lookout for anything else they can complain about online.
