After the film was released in US theaters in December 2023, a black-and-white version of the film, titled Godzilla Minus One / Minus Color, landed in theaters in February 2024.

Godzilla Minus One Minus Color is a re-mastered edition of the original film, which also presents a black-and-white version that might make the kaiju-based story that much more terrifying.

Director Takashi Yamazaki had the following to say about the release of Godzilla Minus Color, “ We are now able to announce ‘Godzilla-1.0/C’, which we have been working on for a long time.
