In Mortal Kombat X, Rain was a non-playable character, an antagonist in the Story Mode. He returned in Mortal Kombat 11 as a playable character you could get in the Kombat Pack 2.

Rain will be a part of the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack 2, which will also come with Mileena and Rambo. Kombat Pack 2 will be sold separately for current MK11 owners.

The new Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate update, which not only brought MK11 to PS5 and Xbox Series X, but added Mileena, Rain, and Rambo, has added a tribute to Queen, courtesy of the aforementioned Rain.
