A transgender man was physically tortured an upstate New York until he died, and his body was dumped in an empty field in an attempt to cover up the "depraved" crime, authorities said.

Deputies found a man who had been stabbed to death inside of a tent in the middle of an empty field in Lynwood on Tuesday. They believe he had been dead for several days.
