Microsoft said it worked with Logitech to endorse both the webcam and the video effects software for Windows 2000 and XP. The webcam and software are also supported by AOL and Yahoo Instant messenger.

Up next is the QuickCam Fusion, an organic-looking webcam with 1.3-megapixel (!!) resolution and light sensing technology which adapts to conditions in the room.

Macintosh users wanting to use the new QuickCam for Notebooks Pro from Logitech Inc., will need a PowerBook or iBook running Mac OS 9. The software isn’t Mac OS X compatible.
