Cabbage, a winter hero. This is a really good cabbage dish. In Japanese, It is described as addictive or yamitsuki. Lately I’ve been eating this a lot at restaurants but this week, I made my own.
First, I gathered my ingredients. I bought a cabbage I found at my local Japanese grocery store, salt, garlic, white sesame seeds, sesame oil, and dried salted kombu (edible kelp).
Cover; once the liquid comes to a boil, reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring once or twice, for 5 to 7 minutes or until the cabbage is tender. Taste, and adjust the seasoning as needed.
