President Trump tweeted an image of the insignia for the newest branch of the U.S. military, drawing immediate comparisons of the new logo to the "Star Trek" Starfleet Starship duty insignia.

"The delta symbol, the central design element in the seal, was first used as early as 1942 by the U.S. Army Air Forces; and was used in early Air Force space organization emblems dating back to 1961.

The logo is also similar to the insignia of the Air Force Space Command, which was the precursor to the Space Force, hosting 16,000 active duty airmen and civilians.
