I am looking to convert the signal into any other signal capable of handling 720p+ so VGA HDMI or something of the like. So far I have not been able to find anything that works.
On this topic, I bought a VGA to HDMI adapter recently in order to get an old Windows 98 system up and running again (Shuttle XPC with Athlon XP 2200+). Of course, it's unidirectional.
Try that, and see if you get a better display. You might also try using an HDMI to VGA converter; I use those once in a while as a last resort, and they can sometimes be a life saver.
