Officer William Martin, who was also at the center of a controversial 2016 arrest that went viral, was booked into the Tarrant County jail on a charge

William Martin’s arrest comes after Fort Worth residents demanded that he be held accountable for his actions, saying the shooting is part of a pattern of “aggressive behavior.”

The officer, who has been with the Fort Worth PD for 19 years, was off duty on Sept. 3 when he shot a man who he claimed was trying to ram him with his vehicle after a hit-and-run.
