Dumont gained recognition for playing Lorna Dane/Polaris in Marvel’s The Gifted and appearing in other projects like NBC’s Aquarius and Hulu’s T@gged.

Dumont began to pick up a following with roles in shows such as Bunheads. In 2017, they landed a part in the X-Men spin-off show, The Gifted, playing the role of Polaris.

The Gifted was canceled after two seasons. Emma Dumont played Polaris in the show, the daughter of Magneto, arguably the most important Marvel Comics villain of all time.
