He joined Smokey Graves 7 His Blue Star Boys in 1953, and he played with a handful of different bands. He may be best known, though, for his time playing in The Country Gentleman.

Redwest, which had its inaugural festival last year, will feature 34 different country music artists at the Utah State Fairpark on Oct. 10-12. Last year, the festival hosted fans from all 50 states.
