Scientists have rediscovered the Barbados threadsnake, the world’s tiniest snake, after it went missing for over two decades.

The snake can then unhinge its jaws, swallowing prey as large as alligators whole. These snakes are often kept as pets, and can live between 20 and 30 years in captivity.
