Hundreds of local authorities have turned parking cashless. But the move away from stuffing meters with coins is driving older car owners off the road, campaigners say.

The new cashless parking will apply for all special events for both lots and garages. For daily commuters who park on the North Shore, they will still be able to use cash for now.

The American Bank Center will transition to a cashless facility starting July 1. Parking can be reserved in advance for $12 via the ParkMobile app or the American Bank Center website.
